Greg grew up at the races. He started racing quads at age 6. At age 10 he started racing BMX. His childhood dream was to be a race car driver just like his Dad (Rick Boyer). At the age of 16 he got his chance to drive Rick's short course car in a short course event placing 5th & 6th. Greg and his Brother Cory teamed up for a few years in a 1600 desert car competing in SCORE, SNORE, MORE, and MDR races. Greg won the Baja 1000 with the Desert Assassins in 2005. In 2005 Greg decided he would go back to where it all started for him, short course racing! Boyer Racing restored an old Single Buggy in Late 2005 to compete in the new west coast CORR season that started in 2006. Greg placed 8th out of 35 cars the first time out. In later races Greg received a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place putting him 4th in points for the year.
